Terms and Conditions (aka ‘the small print’)

Terms of Hire
A £50 non refundable deposit is payable on booking to hold your date for any candy cart booking.

A £20 non refundable deposit is payable on booking to hold your date for any Pick ‘n’ mix stand booking or D.I.Y. item.

Outstanding balance due 4 weeks prior to your event.

If the balance is unpaid after the due by date, it will be presumed that the booking is cancelled and it will be within the company’s rights to rebook the cart/stand for another celebration.

The customer agrees to allow photographs taken by the staff of Julie’s candy Cart to be used for promotional purposes.

Delivery and pick up of the candy cart to venues within a 20 mile radius of Strathaven (ML10) are included in the cost of hire, outside of this incurs a charge for petrol and additional travelling time. Prices on application.

The Pick ‘n’ mix candy stand, ferris wheel and/or accessories are  hired on a DIY basis. This involves the client picking up the item from ourselves and dropping it back to Strathaven (ML10) at a mutually agreeable time. Delivery can be arranged at a surcharge. Prices on application.

A £100 breakage deposit is required, payable on balance, which is refunded within 1 week of the event subject to there being no damage or loss to “Julie’s Candy Cart” property.

Cancellation charges will apply:-
Within 4 weeks of the event – 100% of total cost.
In the event of cancellation, any breakage deposit paid will be fully refunded.
In the very unlikely event that the booking is cancelled by “Julie’s Candy Cart” any payment received will be fully refunded.
We accept cash, cheque, postal order, bank transfer and paypal (5% charge for paypal).

Nut Allergies & Safety Warnings
Please note that some of the sweets may contain or have traces of nuts or nut oils; or may have been made alongside other products containing nuts. Julie’s Candy Cart cannot be held responsible for any issues resulting from food allergies. A file of all sweet ingredients and allergens will be attached to the cart for your information.

Customers should also ensure that children are suitably supervised to avoid sweeties being chosen which would pose a choking risk. This is even more important for children aged under 5yrs. Similar care should also be taken to ensure children’s safety relating to plastic packaging to avoid any risk of suffocation. Julie’s Candy Cart can NOT be held responsible for safety issues which occur from the use of equipment, consumables or the consumption of confectionery left at the celebration location.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that, under no circumstances, is the cart to be moved during the celebration by anybody other than Julie’s Candy Cart staff. This has resulted in the past with broken glassware and damage to the cart.
